Prof. Openjuru L. George Gulu University Vice-Chancellor on the 4th of May 2023, on behalf of the University signed a memorandum of Understanding with Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) to promote coffee production and consumption at Gulu University through the Coffee Student's Club and other strategic interventions through Community Engagement in coffee promotion in the Region.

The University Vice-Chancellor and a team of management also received a brand new Espresso Coffee Machine Worth UGX 20 Million from Uganda Coffee Development Authority.

The Uganda Coffee Development Authority was led by Egena Judith the Quality Assurance Officer.
