At the moment, Gulu University has 5 faculties and 2 institutes. The faculties are:

• Agriculture and Environment (FAE)
• Business and Development Studies (FBDS)
• Education and Humanities (FEH)
• Medicine (FOM), and
• Science (FOS)

Meanwhile the institutes are:

• Peace and Strategic Studies (IPSS)
• Research and Graduate Studies (IRGS).
